It’s OPEN SEASON among the CrossFit Community. We’re 4 weeks in and ready for the Grand Finale featuring 4x Reebok CrossFit Games Champion Rich Froning, 2015 Reebok CrossFit Games Champion Ben Smith and 2x Runner-up Matt Fraser.  The predictions are well underway with only a couple famed movements left unless something is repeated or a new move is added. The list of possibilities are endless but one may assume one movement is a given. The Thruster.

Could we see a 1 rm test. Perhaps a ladder coupled with Box Jumps. We’ll soon find out.

Over the years, the Mastermind Dave Castro has always included a “repeat” event. An event that was included in a previous Open. An event that many have recorded their own personal score. The perfect opportunity to re-test your fitness from the past and showcase your amazing improvements.

The CrossFit World is in a state of confusion leading up to this Thursday,  considering many have assumed 15.5 was going to be the REPEAT.

15.5 consisted of  4 rounds of 27 – 21 – 15 – 9 of Rowing for calories coupled with Thrusters. #brutal

Last years closing event was labeled the toughest Open Event in history. Honestly, I think 14.5 was harder 😉

Could we see one more NEW Movement. Perhaps the Pistol Squat? The Sumo-Deadlift High Pull?

We’ve already seen one new movement introduced in this years open. The Overhead Walking Lunge and it was programmed perfectly inside a 20 min AMRAP featured in 16.1 along with Chest to Bar Pullups and Burpees.

We strategically battled against the heavy barbell with Squat Cleans inside 16.2 coupled with Double Unders and Toes-2-Bar.

We sprinted through Bar Muscle-ups and a light Snatch in 16.3.  We methodically chipped away at heavy Deadlifts, Wall Balls, Rowing and Handstand Pushups in 16.4.

Which brings us to 16.5 ????????????????
