We’re getting closer to the 2017 Reebok CrossFit Games… from the recent event announcements, this may be one of the most revealing set of tests we’ve seen in the history of the Reebok CrossFit Games.
Starting on Thursday, August 3rd with a 1.5 mile run, 500 m swim, 1.5 mile run following that, an Off-road Bike Event.
Friday starts with an Obstacle Course Run, then a 1 RM Snatch Event, with a nasty Chipper to end Friday’s Competitions.
80 GHD sit-ups
60 one-legged squats, alternating
20 dumbbell push presses 70/100
The Masters and Teens Events are also going to demonstrate a tru-test of fitness with slightly different challenges.
Thursday, includes the Run-Swim-Run Event as well as the 1 RM Snatch (only for the 35-49 divisions).
Friday, (Teenagers, Masters 35-49 only) will have a punishing Bike/Lunge Couplet:
40 / 30-cal. Assault Bike
100-ft. overhead lunge
Followed by a legitimate BAR FIGHT
1 rd For Time:
50 chest-to-bar pull-ups
30 cleans and jerks
12 clean and jerks
Then, 2 rounds of:
12 chest-to-bar pull-ups
Then, 12 clean and jerks
This is going to be a great start to the 2017 Reebok CrossFit Games… With basically a Triathlon, a 1 RM Snatch and I can promise you a ridiculous Obstacle Course as the first 3 events… Nothing has been revealed for Saturday or Sunday yet.
