The 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games was by far the most comprehensive test of General Physical Preparedness that was ever witnessed on ESPN, Youtube, Periscope, etc.
From Midline Stability, to Strength, to Endurance, even Speed and more Endurance was tested over and over again. Anyone that earned the right to compete at this years Games are not only Elite but some of the best we’ve ever seen.
It would’ve been a special treat to see how the battle between the 4x CrossFit Games Champion Rich Froning Jr. would have fared when matched against a man not only on a mission, but a man that absolutely dominated the field with every test the infamous Dave Castro could throw at him. That man is Matthew Fraser. The 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games Champion – aka, the FITTEST MAN ON EARTH.
On the women’s side, the leader board changed like Ohio weather. Juggling between Iceland’s Superstars Katrin Davidsdottir and Sara Sigmundsdottir as well as Australia’s Tina-Clair Toomey. All 3 women stood side by side on the podium at the finish of the 2015 Reebok CrossFit Games with Katrin earning the title Fittest On Earth, Tina earning Silver and Sara earning Bronze.
This year, who would of thought the same thing would occur.
Katrin was super impressive from start to finish and earned the right to stand on top the Podium once again over Tina-Clair Toomey and her Iceland Competitor Sara Sigmundsdottir.
All three women stood side by side once again at the end of the 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games.
Also repeating with a dominate performance in the Affiliate Division was CrossFit Mayhem – The Team constructed by the one and only Rich Froning Jr.
Once a 4x Individual Champion, now a 2x Team Champion by winning the Affiliate Cup for the second year in a row.
